Question 6 Evaluation
What have you learnt about
technologies from the process of constructing this product?
I used various different methods and forms of technology and software to create
my magazine some that I had used before and some that where new to me. Such as
InDesign and Photoshop was a brand new piece of software that I learned from
scratch at the start I had difficulties with editing photos so they were the
write standard however after the 1st or 2nd lesson I got
the hang of it and just learnt how to use it form more of a trial and error
method. I decided to edit my photos in photo shop then export then to in design
where I then started to create and build how I wanted my contents page to look
and I also did my double page spread on in design as I felt most confident
placing and editing content on this form of software. I used scribd to upload
most of my documents and with every file I ex[ported it as a pdf first
therefore if you didn’t the text would jumble up when finally uploading it on
to blogger.
For my evaluation I used Microsoft word as this is a well-known program
that I’m familiar with and very confident with as I’ve used it through my whole
school life I used the format-layout-tight button to be able to fit images in
the middle of text. I tried using form of publishing website to upload my work
such as the double page spread as found it very difficult.
Question 4 Evaluation
Who would be the audience for
your media product?
The
audience for my magazine would be both female and male aged 16-30 but I feel
they would mainly be teenagers who are unemployed or have part time jobs or in
education as they have more spare time to be able to sit down every week or
month and look forward to reading a magazine. My audience would like indie
alternative bands but also listen to chart music I think they would go to gigs
as my magazine would appeal to them most. I feel they would like social media as
to know about the artists featured in my magazine they would have to have some
understanding or knowledge of social media as they will have to be able to
relate with what’s happening in the artists life at the time.
